Salyer/Mizelle Wedding

Susan Salyer and Justin Mizelle chose to get married on the beach in Outerbanks, NC. Not just any spot would do though. We were thrilled when they asked my husband and I to travel to the east coast to help capture their special day. Prior to the ceremony all of the wedding guests joined the happy couple for a brunch at Firefly Restaurant . After a delicious meal and toasts by close family and friends, I joined the girls back at “Big Mama’s House” to prep for the day. My husband, Jesse, was a huge help that day and was able to follow the guys around as they went to scope out Pea Island. Once the perfect spot was chosen, Justin and Susan tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on the sand. It couldn’t have been any sweeter! Laura McCulley and Caleb Hickman were married on April 14th 2012 at 3:30pm. It was our honor and privilege to capture thier day! You may remember Laura’s Bridals that we shared with you recently. She was glowing even more the day of the wedding! The ceremony was held at Colonial Heights Baptist Church in Kingsport and reception at the Civic Auditorium. Lauren and Bo Cheatham tied the knot on November 18th, 2011. This was our last wedding of 2011 and it made for a fabulous finish! You might remember Lauren and Bo from their engagement session just a few months ago. They had a short engagement…but why wait? This couple is so apparently head over heels for each other. Their wedding ceremony was held at Salem Baptist Church and a reception followed with dinner and dancing at the infamous Sunsphere in downtown Knoxville. Lauren’s wedding cake and Bo’s grooms cake were two of my absolute favorites from this year! Scroll down to check out the cakes and some more of our favorites. Sarah Hoover and Alex Cox were married on a popular wedding date this year–11.11.11! We enjoyed photographing their ceremony and reception held at Fairview United Methodist Church in Jonesborough, TN. Kelly/Diveto Wedding–Isle of Palms, SC

Jessica Kelly and Kevin Diveto tied the knot at the Citadel Beach Club in Isle of Palms, SC on October 9th, 2011. We happily made the trip to photograph their beach wedding and also enjoyed a nice vacation with our husbands. Their wedding was of course gorgeous, over looking the sand and the waves, but it was also SO MUCH FUN! Back in January, when I met with Jessica and Kevin, they shared with me their vision for their big day. I think it turned out to be everything they wanted and so much more!! Most destination weddings draw a close knit crowd of friends and family and this one was certainly no exception. Jessica and Kevin felt truly blessed to have had so many make the trip on their behalf. The couple even sent guests away with their own custom centerpiece representing all of the many beaches that have meant something to them as individuals and as a couple over the years.
